Cholesterol
Question: Is any fish good for your cholesterol and lowering your triglycerides, or is the best fish to eat salmon, sardines, mackerel, and herring? My husband thinks any fish has omega-3 fatty acids in it, but I heard that salmon is the best.
Answer: Fatty fish [like the ones you mention] are best for your cholesterol. Any fish has trace amounts, but only fatty fish has significant amounts to really provide an adequate dose to give you the beneficial effects.
